Film Making

For students passionate about film, cinema and television, this course will give you real insight into many aspects of cinematography and the world of film. Whilst being fun and informative you will leave with a real sense of achievement as the two weeks culminate in the screening of your own films.

Film Making Course Overview

Tuition

Students will take part in exciting lectures and practical skills workshops to develop their understanding of film making. They will film, edit and present their film to the class.
Activities

Enjoy a variety of onsite evening activities including sports, discos and team games. Our activities provide opportunities for students to have fun and make international friends.
Educational Visits

These visits provide the perfect complement to lectures and workshops and provide a real-world perspective to our courses.

Excursions

Excursions allow students to really get to know the USA. We use destinations such as Downtown Boston as a classroom, where students will find historic and cultural information through guided walking tours and visits to museums and other places of interest.
Certificate

Awarded for the successful completion of the course.

Film, Edit, Create

Through workshops, group projects and practical tasks, students on the Film Making course will become acquainted with the skills and knowledge that will serve as a perfect starting point for future education and possible careers in the Film and TV production industry. Throughout the course you will become familiar with storyboarding, visual effects, special effects and animation along with relevant software such as Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.

This exciting course is led by our lecturers who are all working professionals and bring valuable industry experience to the program.

Through our Film Making Program you will:

Explore a range of practical and theoretical themes connected to the film, television and animation industries.
Have the opportunity to solve creative briefs through a range of techniques and skills guided by our highly experienced staff.
Use specialist equipment including cameras and editing software such as Premier Pro.
Present your films to staff and fellow students for critique.

Activities & Excursions

Students on this course will enjoy one full day excursion per week. Destinations may include Boston, Rhode Island and Canobie Lake Park.

The onsite activities are both fun and varied. Each day will end with an energetic evening activity which encourages students to socialise with their new international friends.
