A program providing additional English language support 

CATS Extra Program Overview

The CATS Extra program has been designed for international students in Grades 8 to 10 with a lower level of English. Students taking this program will benefit from small class sizes, allowing increased personalized support, and regular language assessment in the core areas of study required to complete the High School Diploma. Additional support in Math, Science, History, Academic English and Literature means that you will gain the necessary English language skills to prepare you for mainstream classes.

What Are The Benefits Of CATS Extra Program ?

In this program you will:

Be taught by dedicated and knowledgeable ESL teachers who have helped many CATS Boston students achieve the necessary English language skills to succeed in their High School Diploma
Improve your overall understanding of English in the four key areas: speaking, listening, writing and reading
Gain confidence communicating in English both academically and socially
Learn and develop subject specific vocabulary
Develop your use of grammar and pronunciation
Proceed to mainstream classes once completed
Receive continued ESL support in English Literature, History and Science
