We are delighted to announce that CATS Academy Boston has earned its place on the College Board’s Advanced Placement School Honor Roll, with a Bronze distinction!
The Advanced Placement (AP) School Honor Roll recognizes schools whose AP programs are delivering results for students while broadening access. Schools can earn this recognition annually based on criteria that reflect a commitment to increasing college-going culture, providing opportunities for students to earn college credit, and maximizing college readiness.
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program (AP) enables students to pursue college-level studies — with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both—while still in high school.
Students taking AP courses demonstrate to college admissions officers that they have sought the most challenging curriculum available to them. Through AP courses, each culminating in a challenging exam, students learn to think critically, construct solid arguments, and see many sides of an issue—skills that prepare them for college and beyond.
Our students at CATS Academy Boston have the opportunity to choose from 15 different AP courses including: AP Computer Science, AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Physics: Electricity and Magnetism, AP Economics, AP Literature & Composition, AP Spanish Literature and Culture – among others!
We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment. It is a reflection of the dedication and commitment of our incredible teaching faculty and the support they give to enabling our students to reach their full potential.
