Taken by 1.97 million students worldwide in 2024, the SAT is a standardized test designed to assess college readiness in the United States. It plays a significant role in the college admissions process for many top US institutions and is recognized internationally. For many students, it is an essential component of a well-rounded college application.
The SAT evaluates students’ preparedness for higher education by testing their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. On completion, students receive a composite score, which ranges from 400 to 1600, based on their performance in the Math, Reading, and Writing sections.
