CATS Student Secures Spot at Renowned Top 20 Global University

CATS Academy Boston is excited to announce that one of our students has been accepted to the University of Toronto, one of the top universities in the world.

Pursuing a potential major in Psychology/Neuroscience, Spanish student Laura’s acceptance to the University of Toronto is a reflection of her academic ambition.

The University of Toronto is ranked as Canada’s top university* and the 17th best university in the world**. Laura’s dedication to her studies was rewarded with an international scholarship and she will be joining Studies in Life Sciences at the Faculty of Arts & Science.

A prominent member of the CATS Academy Boston community, Laura joined the school in the 11th grade for the 2023-2024 academic year. Immediately upon her arrival, she began advocating for herself to enroll in rigorous courses, including an impressive number of Honors and Advanced Placement electives. Embracing her passion for the arts, she also took electives in Advanced Acting, Dance and Theater Acting too.

Laura’s desire to challenge herself academically is matched by her commitment to a wide variety of extra-curricular activities. She has made her mark on the school community through her role in Student Government and as a Student Life Ambassador, as well as being a member of the National Honor Society.

Her college application was further enhanced by her interests outside of school, most notably her talents in classical ballet & flamenco dancing, rhythmic gymnastics, karate, a transverse flutist, swim team member and volleyball player.
