CATS Boston Student Worcester Polytechnic Institute

CATS Academy Boston is proud to celebrate student-athlete Logan’s acceptance to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

Logan made an impact the moment he joined CATS Boston in the twelfth grade as a standout player on the Prep Hockey Team. A well-rounded student, his elective choices — from Electronics and Video Production & Editing to Robotics and Music Technology & Production — showcase his wide-ranging curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Beyond academics and sports, Logan has shone as a compassionate leader, leaving his mark through meaningful service projects that make a real difference in the lives of others.

He has received an acceptance to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), ranking 86th best university in the U.S* and which has recently been designated an R1 institution, joining the ranks of the nation’s top-tier research institutions**.

His other acceptances include Suffolk University, Kent State University and Milwaukee School of Engineering.

Sarah Hoffman, College Counselor at CATS Boston, has worked closely with Logan throughout the college application process:

“We are delighted that Logan is spending his senior year at CATS. He has been an impactful goalie for our prep hockey team and established himself as a leader on the ice, in the dorm, and in the classroom. Photography and graphic design are activities which he loves, and he brings excellent skills to the table. He has offered many enthusiastic hours to inspiring service projects, such as making over 100 key lime pies as a fundraiser to buy bikes for unhoused kids.”

Commenting on his college acceptances Logan said “CATS Academy has been the key part to me getting into schools. When I first came here in the Fall, I didn’t know about the application process to colleges. Now that I have been to CATS, I have become a young adult and leader of a community. Overall, CATS was my most important year of schooling when it came to getting into colleges.”

Still considering his options, Logan may go directly to university, or follow his passion and play highly competitive Junior hockey for a year first.
